Because of You: Different Ways to Give...
Lorenzo Gomez - his driving passion is his love for his city, San Antonio, Texas. His goal is to enable others to see the vision and help advance the seventh largest city in the United States into a world-class center for startups, especially in the tech industry.
Carlos Maestas - believes storytelling is the best way organizations and people can move others to action. He is the founder and chief storysmith at Key Ideas, a Texas-based firm that helps organizations sharpen and share their messages and is also a current Board Member of the SAISD Foundation.
The SAISD Foundation received proceeds from both authors' book sales last month. We had the distinct pleasure of working with Lorenzo Gomez and Carlos Maestas, two outstanding (now best selling authors) education partners, who are committed to elevating SAISD through their personal endeavors. We are continually amazed by the creative ways individuals choose to support SAISD students and programs and are grateful to have their work support ours.

Round up those lonely instruments resting in your closet or garage, and put them in the hands of deserving students who will truly enjoy bringing the music back to life. During the month of August, we've partnered with Alamo Music Center to have their downtown location be a drop off location for those instruments. Donations will be accepted every Wednesday and Saturday from 10am - 6pm.
