Learning very looks different than it did two months ago. When our #ConnectCampaign launched in mid-March, we could only hope that our community would join us on the journey to connect SAISD students with access to digital learning. Companies like the ones you see below have assisted us by providing generous funding. We are incredibly blessed to have these companies be pillars in our community that we lean on in times of distress. Individual donors, like so many of you, have contributed in ways that humble us and make us so appreciative for the outpouring of support we have seen. In an interview with the San Antonio Express News, Superintendent Pedro Martinez informed many that the contact rate for students currently holds at 95% and engagement in the digital space is ongoing. He explained for families that register in May for next school year, will be able to keep their electronic devices and access SAISD’s digital learning resources through the summer. We are so proud to be partners in this work and play a role in connecting students during a time where we still have so many uncertainties. Thank you for your support, your unwavering commitment to SAISD and its students and your trust in the work we do. Together, we will close the digital divide in SAISD!

SAISD Foundation Launches SAISD NATION -
to engage alumni and friends!
Here at the SAISD Foundation we are increasing our focus on engaging alumni and friends. To do that we've launched a new digital community – SAISD Nation.
Through SAISD Nation, the school district community has access to regular updates, mentor and volunteer opportunities, special events and an alumni directory. SAISD Nation will offer news and updates on a variety of subjects of interest to alumni, former employees and district supporters through its blog and monthly email updates. Join here today!
The SAISD Foundation recently conducted a survey to determine what kinds of information and services alumni and community members want from the digital community platform. The results showed that there is a strong desire for a platform that allows alumni to reconnect with classmates, attend events that allow them to give back to current students. Read full story here!

We knew we wanted to do something to share our appreciation of teachers. We didn’t know what. Yet. We partnered with San Antonio ISD to design and distribute these beautiful yard signs to all SAISD teachers. Distributing to campus principals, school administration teams wrote personal messages on the back of the signs ahead of delivery. We’ve received many thoughtful thank you messages over the last few days. We hope this small token of appreciation is felt far and wide. We appreciate all of our teachers, especially this week!
