Help the FOX Tech/ALA/CAST Tech mariachi group participate in an upcoming competition in Brownsville, Texas. The goal is to raise $20,000 to pay for the varsity and JV musicians’ transportation, lodging and meals.

Thanks to the SAISD Foundation, our Mariachi program has been inspired to expand beyond San Antonio, allowing us to compete at a higher level and attend more clinics to refine our musical skills. However, these incredible opportunities require significant funding.

One of our most important events, the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza, includes group and vocal competitions, as well as clinician sessions that help us grow as musicians and leaders. Because this competition takes place early in the school year, we have limited time to raise the necessary funds while dedicating ourselves to perfecting our performances.

Beyond competition and clinic fees, our program also requires essential instrument supplies such as violin strings, bows, guitar strings, and guitarrón strings. While our district provides some funding, our Mariachi program serves over 350 students, making additional financial support crucial to sustaining our program throughout the year.

With your generosity, we can ensure that our students have the resources they need to compete, learn, and continue the rich tradition of Mariachi.
